Please join us in Chicago for what promises to be an engaging and valuable day hearing from your fellow practitioners, having interactive discussions about the problems we all face introducing prediction markets to our organizations, learning about other ways you can be using your marketplace, and having a little fun in between.

We hand-picked a small group of people who are actively using Inkling Markets in their organizations. There won't be any sales pitches or windy academic talks. Our hope is everyone will come with an open-mind and willingness to share their experiences whether they've been highly successful or only moderately successful.

The Inkling Administrator Conference is only going to be successful if everyone participates. We're working hard to line up speakers and facilitators, but lots of the day will be for discussion and questions. Specifically we'll talk about:

The path from pilot to enterprise
Incentives - What makes a trader come back for more besides prizes
Meta-facts about marketplaces - the statistics behind success and failure
Presentations about prediction markets for competitive intelligence, collaborative supply chain forecasting, and market research
Inkling's version of "make a wish"

Travel Details

Conference Location: We will spend the day at the Chicago Tech Nexus which is at 200 S. Wacker on the 15th floor.

Travel to Chicago: Everyone thinks of O'Hare as the default airport for flying in to Chicago, but we would encourage you to check out Midway as an alternative. Southwest is the primary operator and offers cheaper flights than most of the other airlines. Whichever airport you fly in to, there is public train service to and from downtown that is $2.25 a person. Cabs are also plentiful and will run you $30 - $35 each way.

Staying in Chicago: If you are staying overnight in Chicago you should look for a downtown hotel as that will be the most convenient for you to attend the conference and get to and from the airports. Because this will be a small conference we have not reserved a block of rooms anywhere. That said, we like kayak.com the best to find hotel deals. If you need recommendations or find a great deal but the hotel sounds iffy, let us know and we'll tell you if it's legit or not.
